Pleasant stay at the Victorian Mansion

Though unplanned, we had a very pleasant stay at John and Nancy's super cozy and elegant victorian mansion. They are excellent hosts who made our accommodation as comfortable as possible. The decor gives a very quintessential character to the place and as others have already mentioned, the breakfast spread is out of this world. You would definitely never go hungry from their place. We loved our stay and plan to return during the summers to explore more.

Wonderful house, wonderful people, lovely and quiet location!

"First, dealing with Nancy and John during and after the booking process was smooth and pleasant. Emails were answered quickly and questions answered completely. This 2 day stay was for our 37th anniversary which I had mentioned to Nancy".

"Pemberley House offers the best pricing in the area for a great stay...but they go way beyond expectations. To encourage mid week visits, they offer a great deal. Upon arrival, time being very flexible, one is welcomed with a traditional English cream tea, including good tea of course, home made yummy scones, a wide variety of jams for the scones and then, to top it all off, delicious Devonshire cream. Even better, for the 2 night, mid week booking, you are treated to a gourmet dinner one of your 2 nights....all included in the price".

"Our hosts, Nancy and John, are convivial, caring hosts ensuring guests want for nothing Then there is breakfast. Maple infused breakfast sausage, locally produced, as is the bacon. Farm fresh eggs, fresh fruit and toast. Wow! All in all I highly recommend Pemberley House. It is also within half an hour to Goderich and Bayfield, both of which have loads to offer, but with similar accommodations being as much as 75% more expensive. Don't miss out on a visit to Pemberley House".

​One of the Most Enjoyable, Quaintest Experiences I’ve ever had!

"This was one of the most enjoyable, quaintest experiences I’ve ever had! Accommodations are very clean, amazing china servings for the elaborate and tasty breakfast and delightful hosts. This would be a perfect 2-3 day getaway. Stay at the Pemberley and enjoy the stay and play golf package. For those not interested in golf, enjoy the cute town of Bayfield only 20 minutes away, Cowbell Brewery or Blyth theatre only 20 minutes away. There are also wineries within 30 minutes if that is more of your taste palette. You are also only 30 minutes away from Stratford’s theaters. Think about doing a beach experience trying out 3 of the different beaches in Goderich, Bayfield, and Grand Bend with the Pemberley as your home base. Casino only 20 minutes away. Hiking, fishing and endurance experiences within 30 minutes from the Pemberley. It is my first time here and I can hardly wait to return with groups of friends. Book early, this is a real gem!!"

Fabulous B&B

We stayed at Pemberley House last year for our anniversary and liked it so much that we came back this year and stayed longer.

Pemberley House is a charming Victorian Mansion located in the quaint little town of Seaforth.

If you love antiques, Nancy will be happy to show you her vast collection of antique furniture and collectibles.

The accommodations are comfortable and welcoming. John and Nancy are wonderful hosts that are happy to chat if you like.

The breakfasts are delicious and massive - you won't go away hungry! You'll have lots of fuel to explore the many wonderful trails, sights, and shopping the area has to offer.

They're close to a number of small tourist areas including Grand Bend and The Pinery.

Pemberley House is well worth a visit and you'll have lots to do if you like drives in the country, amazing scenery, antique shopping, and exploring small towns.

Fricken awesome

John and Nancy are amazing people. The dinner is to die for and the dessert sends you to heaven.  I would definitely recommend people to stay here. It's just an amazing experience with great people. Glad my bosses chose it.

Wonderful B&B - John and Nancy are wonderful hosts!

John and Nancy were wonderful hosts. Their home is full of character and full of beautiful antiques. The breakfasts were amazing and huge! The town of Seaforth is nice with several great restaurants within walking distance of the B&B.

We'll definitely be back for another visit!

A beautiful house, wonderful hosts

There were 6 in our party, from Ontario, Québec, and Europe. We were all so happy to arrive and find this lovely B&B in the heart of farming country. Nancy and John were very accommodating and kind. The rooms were quiet and well-appointed and the breakfasts yummy, complete with an amazing assortment of jams! This is a real jewel..

Above and Beyond Service and Attention to Detail

"Nancy and John are truly wonderful hosts. They both went above and beyond with their service and attention to detail. The house was beautiful and made our get-away very memorable. During our stay, my wife and I not only got to visit the area; but, also made connections with Nancy and John, and the other guests - which made the experience all the more richer".

Accommodating Hosts and Delicious Food

"Nancy and John were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. I was celebrating my birthday and they gave me a card and even sang happy birthday with a beautiful cake for me. They provided us with information on things to do and directions on how to get around. Both mornings our breakfasts were delicious and quickly prepared, bacon and eggs with rye toast and unbelievably tasty French toast for the 2nd day. My husband had food restrictions which they were more than happy to accommodate. His vegetable omelet was so good he had it both mornings. We sat at the breakfast table for quite a long time both mornings just conversing with each other. I felt very comfortable as if I was home in my own dining room having breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and they had over 300 movies for us to watch when we came back for the evening. My husband and I like to visit this area quite often and I can tell you we will be staying here every time we do !!!!!"

Great Christmas Stay

"We were delighted to find this B & B in Seaforth, as there are few options in the area. My wife, 5-yr-old daughter and I stayed two nights over Christmas, to be close to nearby family. It's a lovely old house, and the living room and dining room were both dressed up for Christmas, with decorations, trees, twinkly villages, and much charm. Our room upstairs was very nice, very clean, and the small bathroom attached was perfectly functional. No one else was staying, so it was very quiet. Breakfast the next morning was terrific, with bacon, sausage, eggs, cinnamon buns, fruit, etc. Our hosts were nice, not super-chatty, which I rather liked. They also seemed fairly new at running a B&B, which made sense since they only opened earlier in the year!! Altogether a great Christmas stay- somehow they even convinced Santa to leave a present for our daughter".

Fantastic Overnight Stay

"My sister and I were visiting family in Seaforth in February 2019 and spent 1 night at this B&B. The house is utterly charming with gracious hosts who made us feel welcome. We stayed in a room with two twin beds which was impeccably decorated. In the morning we sat down to a delicious breakfast and were able to get a detailed history of the home. Afterward, they took us on a tour and we learned where they sourced some of their amazing antiques.

We did not expect to find such a gem and we were so pleased with our stay. Highly recommend!! We will be back next time we're in town".

"Pemberley House is exactly as advertised on the website. It provided excellent value, and offered a senior discount. Nancy and John are kind and thoughtful hosts. Seaforth is only a 30 minute drive from Stratford theatres, and a similar distance from Grand Bend. We had a very enjoyable visit".

Amazing B&B

"This is an amazing place to stay. It was a perfect location to stay when we explored the area of Bayfield, Goderich, Blyth etc. Would not hesitate to highly recommend staying at the Pemberley House B&B. John and Nancy are warm and welcoming hosts. The Pemberley House has a great vibe and is filled with unique and interesting pieces with each having a history of its own. A very clean and comfortable B&B. The breakfast was delicious. You can tell that John and Nancy have put a lot of thoughtful touches into making sure their guests feel welcomed. Family Get Away Wedding - A Wonderful Experience

"Our family was welcomed with warmth and kindness the moment we arrived at Pemberley House by Nancy and John. We were given a short tour of the beautiful 19th century home when we arrived and told about the various amenities the home had and shown to our rooms. We had booked 5 rooms to attend a family wedding and were happy to find out the wedding and reception were a block away at the Seaforth Community Centre. Breakfast was delicious along with a bottomless cup of coffee!! If your travels bring you to Seaforth stay at Pemberley House for a wonderful experience".

“From the minute we arrived we were warmly welcomed. Home was decorated beautifully for Christmas with the most magazine-worthy trees! Nancy and John were lovely hosts who were very knowledgeable. This was an amazing base for a three-day visit to the region.

I would highly recommend a 3-day stay in all seasons at the Pemberley as it is a very relaxing setting. It acts as a good home base from which you can do little outings in Seaforth's downtown and walkways, and to Bayfield, Goderich, Stratford, Blyth, and other towns and charming locations, all within a half-hour drive. The hosts' Nancy and John are gracious, very knowledgeable, and make you feel at home. The Versailles room was really well appointed and comfortable. This was an amazing base for a three-day visit to the region.
